Mr. Peabody Goes To Town

This is Mr. Peabody. Jana named him after the shape of his body.

Patio Kitty brought this tiny little bun to our patio as a gift. He loves us so. Anyway, before he gave it to us, he played with it for a little bit. Don't hate on the cat, though. That's what cats do. So, anyway, we scooped him up and inspected his wounds. He seemed ok, except for his right leg (the one you can see in the pic) had a big wound. He was still hopping on it and all, but he was bloody. Anyway, we cleaned him up and gave him some water and food. The next day, mom and I took him to the Humane Society. We don't have the knowledge to look after his wounds and we really can't have another bun anyway. So, they'll patch him up and find a good home for him.

While we were there, there was a woman giving over her dog. Not sure what kind. Medium to large, I'd say. Anyway, according to this woman, someone gave her the dog A YEAR AGO, and he is real sweet, he just doesn't get along with her other dog. Uhm...it took you a year to figure that out???

Anyway, he was SUCH a sweet baby, and very social to me and my mom. He'll definitely find a home.

Me

(no subject)

Recent events have lead me to appreciate the Humane Society tons more. I'll post about that later. But, what I've decided to do, is this. As often as I can, I'm going to post the 'Pet of the Week' from the Humane Society of North Texas. Why? Because I can and I want to.

Introducing Cha Ching.
German Shepherd Mix
HSNT ID: A02382619
Age: 18 Months
Gender: Male
Available for adoption at the Lancaster Location

Cha Ching had a sad start to his life like many of the animals we see at HSNT. His former owner came by in the dead of night and tied him to our gate where we found him the following morning. Poor Cha Ching had grown and his collar hadn't and we had to surgically remove the collar from his neck. He has healed from that injury but still needs a kind benefactor to take him in and let him recover from his heartworm treatment. If you can't adopt Cha Ching perhaps you could help cover the $300 cost of his heartworm treatment?
